Patrick Kinuthia

Patrick Kinuthia, a Kenyan artist born in 1967, describes his work as “semi-impressionism”. Supported by his late father, he started painting at the age of 6 with the means available to him: red soil and his fingers. Today, he is widely recognized as one of Kenya’s most prolific painters, known for his portraits and landscapes. He is particularly inspired by the flair and expression of African women, which he captures in his paintings with bold strokes of color.
